Membership Application and Terms
Below are the requirements to become an Association Member:
- Provide the references of at least 2 (two) members;
- To be engaged in translation services as the core business;
- To duly fill out the Membership Oath and Application Form and to submit the same to the Association stamped and signed by the person(s) authorized to represent and bind the company.
- To have the qualifications and background required to provide information and consulting services for persons and companies requesting translation services.
- To foster an awareness of quality in the translation industry;
- To contribute to the professional development and training of translators and other industry professionals;
- To work in a customer-oriented manner and in compliance with quality standards;
- For sole proprietorships, the proprietor themselves, for ordinary partnerships at least one of the shareholders, and for limited liability companies and joint stock companies at least one of the shareholders must be a professional translator, and/or at least one person must be employed as a professional translator;
Translation companies desiring to become an Association Member, and which have duly satisfied the above-mentioned requirements can download the required Membership Application Form and Membership Oath documents, to be duly stamped and signed by the authorized signatory, from our website.

The Association of Translation Companies’ Board of Directors will decide whether to approve or reject submitted applications within 30 days and will inform the applicant of the outcome in writing. Public employees must obtain permission from the respective authority to be admitted to membership pursuant the Law of Associations. Foreign nationals can only be a member if they have a right to reside in Turkey.
